The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has assured that it will extend all possible support to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) super specialty hospital to aid its efforts to help poor patients in backward regions.

At the SVIMS 33rd anniversary celebrations conducted at Mahati auditorium here on Thursday, TTD Joint Executive Officer (Health and Education) A. Sharath recalled that the TTD was currently providing an annual grant of ₹130 crore to SVIMS.

He also mentioned that the temple trust would go the extra mile if the hospital, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified manpower, made a concerted effort to reach out to poor patients.

Mr. Sharath elaborated on the need to make preventive and medical services accessible to those in rural areas, besides making use of ‘NTR Vaidya Seva’ to treat the economically underprivileged patients.

He later released the annual report for 2025 along with TTD trust board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, SVIMS governing council member N. Sadasiva Rao, TUDA Chairman C. Divakar Reddy and SVIMS Director and Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.V. Kumar, while Dr. Subhashini Yaturi, a professor of medicine from the USA, also spoke at the event.
