Telangana IAS transfers Feb 2026 | Major reshuffle across key departments and district collector posts

In a major reshuffle, Telangana government transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and districts. Among the most significant changes, Sanjay Kumar has been transferred from Information Technology and Industries department to take charge as Special Chief Secretary, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development department replacing N. Sridhar.

And, Mr. Sridhar was appointed as Secretary of the IT and Industries Department, as per the orders dated February 25, 2026. He will continue to hold full additional charge (FAC) as Principal Secretary of Mines and Geology.

Another key change was the transfer of Rahul Bojja, from Irrigation and Command Area Development department, and appointed as Principal Secretary (Political), General Administration Department, and also placed in FAC as Principal Secretary, BC Welfare Department. E. Sridhar has been posted as Secretary, Irrigation and CAD Department replacing Mr. Bojja.

Finance, Planning departments and Delhi posting

Sabyasachi Ghosh has been re-designated as Special Chief Secretary for Implementation of Flagship Welfare & Developmental Schemes and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

M. Dana Kishore has been given full additional charge (FAC) as Special Chief Secretary (Disaster Management), Revenue Department, following the transfer of Arvind Kumar.

Gaurav Uppal was shifted from Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, to serve as Secretary, Finance & Planning Department and FAC Vice-Chairperson of TGRAC, while also holding FAC as Managing Director, TGMSIDC. Adwait Kumar Singh has been posted as Special Secretary (Coordination-GoI Projects & CSS) at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi.

Jitesh V. Patil is appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of TGSPDCL while Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui was posted as CMD, third DISCOM (New). Yadadri Collector M. Hanumantha Rao was appointed as Director, Endowments with FAC as Special Officer, Godavari Pushkaralu. Pamela Satpathy was posted as Special Commissioner, Labour.

District Collectors rejigged

The reshuffle involved a large-scale transfer of district collectors. Chitra Mishra was posted as Collector, Karimnagar; Deepak Tewari as Collector, Vikarabad; Ankit, as Collector, Bhadradri Kothagudem; Chahat Bajpai as Collector, Hanamkonda (also holding FAC as GWMC Commissioner); Khushboo Gupta as Collector, Mahabubnagar; Garima Agrawal as Collector, Rajanna Sircilla; Prateek Jain as Collector, Narayanpet and Rizwanbasha Shaik as Collector, Jogulamba Gadwal.

Several IAS and SCS officers were posted as Additional Collectors (Local Bodies) across districts, while Manda Makarandu and Parmar Pinkeshkumar Lalitkumar were appointed as Zonal Commissioners in GHMC. Changes were also ordered in Prajavani, BC Welfare institutions, and cooperative departments
