BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay paid tributes to former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

In a post on X, Mr. Nagenthran said Annadurai was a great leader who captivated the entire Tamil race with his words. “Annadurai lived his life with a goal that a Tamil should live a good life without bowing to anyone, without making anyone bow, without being a master to anyone, without being a slave, without exploiting anyone, and without being exploited by anyone,” he added.

In a post on X, Mr. Vijay said Annadurai raised his voice for state autonomy and gave the two-language policy for the State and adopted social justice as his ideology. “He is a remarkable political leader, without family dominance. He did not play a dual role to betray the people of Tamil Nadu and worked hard for their welfare,” he added.

“Let us follow Annadurai’s political mantra of “Go to people” and take a pledge to bring a regime change and election victory impact similar to what happened in 1967,” Mr. Vijay added.
