: A total of 50 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have been initially allotted to Tamil Nadu by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, in connection with general elections to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik said on Monday (February 23, 2026).

The CAPF personnel have been allotted for area domination, confidence building measures, among others. “The initial 50 companies of CPAF will be inducted on March 10 to Tamil Nadu,” the officer said.
