A cycle rally was organised in Mysuru on Monday to mark the International Day of Democracy. The rally (jatha) was flagged off from the Deputy Commissioner’s office and culminated at the Town Hall.

Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy flagged off the rally, which was organised by the District Administration, Mysuru Zilla Panchayat, and the Department of Social Welfare.

The event was organised to raise awareness about the importance of voting and democratic rights. On the occasion, “My Vote, My Right” campaign was launched.

The participants, mostly students, carried placards with messages such as “Voting is people’s supreme right”, “voting is democracy’s biggest strength”, and “my vote, my right”.
