The Krishnadevaraya Educational and Cultural Association, a non-profit organisation committed to empowering underprivileged meritorious students through scholarships and skill development, celebrated its golden jubilee at the Amara Raja Campus in Tirupati on Saturday.

Over the past five decades, the association has remained steadfast in its mission to uplift economically disadvantaged rural youth through education. It has so far extended financial assistance of ₹5 crore to more than 3,600 students. Every year, about 250 students receive scholarships amounting to ₹50 lakh.

Envisioned by Amara Raja Group founder Ramachandra N. Galla and his wife Aruna Kumari Galla, the association has focused on expanding access to quality education and improving employability among rural youth since its inception, according to a press statement.

On the occasion, Ms. Aruna Kumari announced a donation of ₹1 crore to the association from the proceeds of her autobiography. Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Ram Mohan Naidu, former MP Maganti Murali Mohan and Chittoor MLA Gurajala Jagan Mohan were among those who participated in the celebrations.
