Four workers were injured after an idli steamer exploded inside the kitchen of Chutney’s Hotel near the Rangareddy District Court in LB. Nagar, Hyderabad, on Friday (February 20, 2026) afternoon.
The incident was reported around 12 noon. According to officials, the steamer exploded while food was being prepared in the kitchen. Three workers sustained burn injuries in the blast, while another worker suffered a head injury after being struck by an iron plate dislodged during the explosion.
All four injured workers were immediately shifted to a private hospital in NTR Nagar for treatment and were said to be out of danger. The officials said that all the injured workers hail from Chhattisgarh. Further investigation is underway.
