A 47-year-old woman died in a road accident at Nizampet X roads while travelling with her husband on a two-wheeler on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The deceased was identified as Gandra Naga Sandhya, a teacher and resident of Vijaya Nagar Colony, Pipeline Road, Kukatpally.

The couple was travelling from Hydernagar towards Kukatpally on their motorcycle. On reaching Nizampet X Road, an RTC bus was passing on the right side of their motorcycle when the two-wheeler reportedly skidded, causing both of them to fall onto the road. In the impact, Naga Sandhya sustained severe bleeding injuries to the right side of her head and shoulder and lost consciousness. Devender Rao suffered injuries to his right knee and other parts of the body.

With the help of bystanders, the injured were shifted to a private hospital in Nizampet where duty doctors declared Naga Sandhya brought dead. Devender Rao is currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
