Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner Fouzia Tarannum directed government officials to work responsibly and ensure the effective implementation of welfare and development schemes for the overall progress of Chittapur taluk.

On February 10, the Deputy Commissioner began her taluk-level review tour in the morning along with a team of district-level officials by visiting Shahabad taluk, where she inspected the newly established Nuvoco Cement Factory at Ravoor village. She later visited the land conversion site at Nalwar village via Konchur.

At Nalwar, she inspected several government institutions, including the Raitha Samparka Kendra, Primary Health Centre, anganwadi, residential hostel and the nadakacheri (government office), and reviewed the functioning of various departments.

Subsequently, she visited the industrial area in Chittapur taluk and held discussions with local officials. Addressing a taluk-level officers’ meeting held at the Praja Soudha, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that officials must make dedicated efforts to ensure that government programmes reach the intended beneficiaries.

“Government officers and staff should respond promptly to public grievances and discharge their duties with a sense of responsibility so that the benefits of government schemes reach the people effectively,” she said.

The DC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner of Sedam Prabhureddy, Chittapur Tahsildar Nagaiah Hiremath, and senior taluk-level officials from various departments..
