Artists perform at weekly cultural programme on Marina Blue Flag beach

More than 70 artistes performed at the weekly cultural events at the Marina Blue Flag beach on Sunday. It featured folk artists from various parts of Tamil Nadu, and many people thronged the beach to witness the performances, according to a press release.

Performances during the three‑hour programme, held from 5.30 p.m., included multi‑genre dance, instrumental music, folk games and items such as Punjabi bhangra, beatboxing and gaana music, the release said.

The Greater Chennai Corporation has been conducting weekly cultural events at the Blue Flag beach since September 21, 2025, with programmes scheduled every Sunday evening.
