Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), P. Ranjith Basha on Wednesday (February 4) inspected the intermediate practical examination centre at Sri Durga Malleswara Junior College in Vijayawada.

Officials told him that the exams were being conducted strictly in accordance with the guidelines issued by the BIE. Mr. Basha inspected if the CCTV cameras installed in the laboratories were functioning and live monitoring was in place to ensure effective surveillance during the examinations.

He also verified students’ hall tickets, record books and laboratory equipment. The college management informed him that adequate measures had been taken to prevent malpractice at the examination centre.

Mr. Basha directed the officials to ensure that students were able to write the exams without any pressure and warned of strict action against centres violating examination rules.

Mr. Basha said the theory exams, scheduled to start on February 23, would also be conducted in a fool-proof manner.

Intermediate practical examinations for general courses began on February 1 and will end on February 10.
