Over 1.65 lakh cases settled at National Lok Adalat; thousands of cyber fraud victims get refunds

A total of 1,65,522 compoundable cases across Telangana were settled during the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday. There were thousands of cases related to cyber fraud, where victims received refunds.

The large-scale exercise offered litigants an opportunity to resolve disputes amicably, avoiding protracted court battles and saving both time and resources.

The bulk of cases included 75,430 e-petty matters, 61,205 under the Motor Vehicles Act, 20,964 FIR cases, 7,040 cyber crime incidents and 883 disaster management cases.

Hyderabad emerged as the top-performing unit with 29,023 cases resolved, followed by Rachakonda with 22,278, Nalgonda with 14,002, Warangal with 10,309 and Ramagundam with 8,358.
