Upset over marital discord, a 27-year-old woman killed her three children and made an attempt to end her life in Hiremuchalgudda village of Bagalkot district on Sunday.

Roopa Hanumantgoudar strangled her children five-year-old Samruddhi, four-year-old Preetam and two-year-old Sukshit in her house. She later tried to end her life.

Her neighbours admitted her to hospital. Her condition is said to be serious.

The police have registered a case and are questioning her husband.

(Those in distress or having suicidal tendencies can call Arogya Sahayavani on Ph: 104 for help.)
