Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday stressed the need for extensive use of technology in governance to ease the workload of field-level employees and enhance efficiency in public service delivery. He directed officials to provide proper training wherever performance gaps exist and to ensure continuous monitoring for achieving tangible outcomes.

Chairing a review meeting of the Real-Time Governance Society at the camp office, the Chief Minister said many governance-related challenges could be effectively addressed through technology-driven solutions. He underlined the importance of encouraging officials and employees at all levels to adopt digital tools in their day-to-day functioning.

Declaring 2026 as the Technology-Driven Decision Making Year, Mr. Naidu said the role of Artificial Intelligence must be expanded across government services. He instructed officials to leverage AI for faster redressal of public grievances and to strengthen data-driven governance for informed policymaking.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that through Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance, as many as 878 government services are currently being delivered to citizens. So far, around 1.43 crore people have availed of these services, indicating the growing acceptance of digital governance platforms.

The Chief Minister said the government would place greater emphasis on integrating technology across departments to improve transparency, accountability and service quality. He also reviewed the performance of key departments such as Health, Agriculture, Revenue, Roads, Transport RTA and Fire Services, and directed officials to further improve outcomes through technological interventions.

Reiterating his vision of efficient and citizen-centric governance, Mr. Naidu said technology should act as a catalyst for better decision-making and faster service delivery, benefiting both government employees and the public.
