Telugu Desam Party leaders celebrated the 77th Republic Day at the party’s central office near Mangalagiri under the leadership of State president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Monday.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao unfurled the national flag through electronic mode and addressed the gathering. He said the primary objective of Republic Day celebrations was to pass on the greatness and values of the Constitution to future generations.

He observed that those entering public life must respect the Constitution and democratic principles and should not act in ways that trample upon the rights of the people. Those in power, as well as those aspiring to assume power, must strive to implement the Constitution in letter and spirit, he added.

Party leaders Varla Ramaiah, P. Ashok Babu, Peethala Sujatha, Darapaneni Narendra Babu, Parchuri Krishna and Valluri Kiran were among those present.

Meanwhile, Jana Sena Party political affairs committee chairman and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar led the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the party’s central office near Mangalagiri.

Government Whip P. Hari Prasad and party leaders Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, Kalyanam Siva Srinivasa Rao and Gade Venkateswara Rao participated in the programme.
