Man killed in two-wheeler collision on NH-65 service road in Hayathnagar

A 55-year-old man was killed when a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on NH-65 service road at Hayathnagar collided head-on with the two-wheeler he was on, around 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Ganji Ashok, a handloom worker from Samsthan Narayapuram village in Yadadri Bhongir district. He was travelling pillion on a motorcycle driven by his son, Umakanth, from Munaganur to their native village.

The accident was reported near Seetharampuram Kaman while the duo was proceeding towards Pedda Amberpet.

Ashok sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. His son was injured and was shifted to a hospital.

A case was booked by the Hayathnagar police, and further investigation is under way.
