Udhayanidhi lays foundation for auditorium at city college

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday laid the foundation for the construction of an auditorium at the Bharathi Women’s College in Broadway. The auditorium will be constructed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority at a cost of ₹19.58 crore under the Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam. Mr. Udhayanidhi also distributed 20 laptops to students under the State government initiative to distribute free laptops to college students. In his speech, the Deputy Chief Minister listed the various initiatives taken by the State government for the welfare of students and women, including Pudhumai Penn and Naan Mudhalvan. Mr. Udhayanidhi also urged students to utilise the free laptops for upskilling. Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments P.K. Sekarbabu and Greater Chennai Corporation Mayor R. Priya were among those present.
