Integrated business city Sri City in Tirupati district secured investments to the tune of ₹20.250 crore in 2025 through 43 MoUs signed on various occasions. This includes the ₹11,750 crore secured at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam recently.

The year saw a rise in the new operations and expansions of existing units, with 15 new companies commencing production – five inaugurated during the CII partnership summit and 10 on different occasions.

A major milestone was achieved in May with LG Electronics India Limited beginning the construction of its manufacturing facility in the presence of IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Proterial (Metglas), a speciality steel, magnetic materials and power electronics maker of Japan added to Daikin’s supply-chain investment, making the township an advanced manufacturing ecosystem for consumer appliances.

Other achievements include the rolling out of 20,000th excavator by Kobelco Construction Equipment, and VRV Asia Pacific’s launch of large-scale liquid nitrogen storage tank to Qatar-based Air Liquide.

Sri City’s global recognition improved in 2025 with the visit of diplomats like Japan Ambassador Ono Keiichi, Consul Generals representing the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Russian Federation. Similarly, international delegations from Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and the United Kingdom visited Sri City.

“As we step into 2026, the Chief Minister has set a bold challenge for us to host 500 companies from 50 countries to create 1.5 lakh direct jobs, which we have accepted,” said Sri City’s founder-managing director Ravindra Sannareddy.
