APSRTC bus turns turtle, 10 injured

An Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus carrying 17 passengers turned turtle in the district on Friday (Septemberr 12) morning leaving 10 injured.

According to police, the bus belonging to Rayadurgam depot was on its way to Beluguppa from Nakkalapalli when it turned turtle near Nakkalapalli. The bus conductor and an elderly woman passenger suffered serious injuries while eight others suffered minor injuries.

Minister for Transport M. Ramprasad Reddy enquired with RTC officials over the incident and asked them to provide better medical care to the injured conductor Ramesh and passengers. He wanted officials to find out the reasons for the mishap.

Minister for Finance Payyavula Keshav took stock of the situation with police and RTC officials and asked to shift all the injured to hospital and provide medical treatment.
