A 2005-batch IPS officer, M. Ramesh, assumed charge as the new Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, on Tuesday (December 30, 2025), marking a change in leadership at one of the State’s key police commissionerates.
He succeeds Avinash Mohanty and was previously serving as Inspector General of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, while also holding full additional charge of the Police Transport Organisation.
Speaking after taking charge, Mr. Ramesh said that the foremost responsibility of the Cyberabad Police would be to uphold the rule of law and ensure impartial and fair treatment to all citizens. He emphasised the need for professionalism, transparency and people-centric policing in all aspects of police work.
