Special Chief Secretary of the Transport, Roads and Buildings (TR&B) Department, Vikas Raj, conducted a comprehensive review meeting on the progress of the new High Court complex at Rajendranagar.
The review was attended by the Chief Engineer (R&B) Buildings, Chief Engineer (R&B) Electrical, and the Superintending Engineer (R&B) HQC, along with representatives of the contractor and consultant.
Several critical issues relating to timelines, coordination, and technical preparedness were discussed, and clear instructions were issued to ensure timely completion of the prestigious project.
Mr. Vikas Raj directed that weekly review meetings be held at the site every Saturday between 9 am and 11 am to closely monitor progress. He instructed the consultant to ensure the presence of their structural and MEP sub-consultants at every such meeting to facilitate faster decision-making and technical clarity.
Expressing concern over delays, the Special Chief Secretary asked the consultant to augment technical staff and sub-consultants to expedite the work. He also instructed the Chief Engineer (R&B) Buildings to examine the feasibility of engaging an independent engineering firm, within the scope of the agreement, to provide technical inputs wherever required.
The Chief Engineer was authorised to engage an alternate consultant, without affecting the pace of work, if the existing consultant fails to adhere to the drawing submission schedule.
