11 Telangana districts record less than 10°C; Tiryani in Asifabad coldest at 6.1°C

A total of 11 Telangana districts recorded temperatures of 10°C or below between Sunday and Monday (December 28 and 29, 2025) mornings, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). Tiryani in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6.1°C.

This was followed by 6.3°C in Kohir (Sangareddy), 7.5°C in Bheempoor (Adilabad), 8.2°C in Moinabad (Rangareddy), 8.4°C in Yeldurthy (Medak), 8.5°C in Mominpet (Vikarabad), 9°C in Pembi (Nirmal), 9.6°C in Gandhari (Kamareddy), 9.7°C in Gambhiraopet (Rajanna Sircilla), 9.8°C in Akbarpet (Siddipet) and Uppal (Medchal Malkajgiri) and 10°C in Saloora (Nizamabad) and Ramagiri (Peddapalli).

The remaining 22 districts recorded temperatures ranging between 10°C and 13°C. Tirumalagiri in Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 10.7°C.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest bulletin said that minimum temperatures in Telangana are likely to be below normal by 2°C to 3°C at isolated pockets during the next two days.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see partly cloudy sky. “Fog or misty conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during night hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 27°C and 14°C respectively,” as per the bulletin.
