AIADMK to hold district secretaries meeting on December 31

AIADMK general secretary and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday announced his party would hold a meeting of its district secretaries on December 31 at 10 a.m. at the party headquarters at Royapettah in Chennai.

Meanwhile, Mr. Palaniswami expelled Palpakki C. Krishnan, a former MLA who represented the Omalur Assembly constituency in Salem district, from the party for alleged anti-party activities. Recently, Mr. Krishnan joined actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in the presence of the party’s high-level committee chief coordinator, K.A. Sengottaiyan.
