Dhone-Guntur train extended – The Hindu

The train running between Dhone and Guntur via Nandyal has been extended on both the sides. Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari said the Union Railway Ministry, which had recently announced new train between Guntakal and Nandyal during morning hours, had another good news for the commuters of Nandyal district.

The Train no. 17227/28 running between Dhone-Guntur has been changed to Train no. 17282/81 and will run from Dharmavaram to Narsapur, passing through Gooty, Guntakal, Dhone, Nandyal, Guntur, and Vijayawada. The train will start from Dharmavaram at 4.30 a.m. and reach Narsapur at 8.30 p.m.. In the return direction, the train will start at 6.15 a.m. and reach Dharmavaram at 12.30 a.m. the next day.

Ms. Shabari said that the party MPs met South Central Railway (SCR) officials in Vijayawada and submitted representations for new trains and extension of trains, and that the Railway Board had taken steps to address the issues.
