Belongings, including cash and identifcation documents, of CPI(M) Central Committee member and All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) leader P.K. Sreemathi had been reportedly stolen during a train journey to Bihar.
The theft occurred while the former Kerala Minister was travelling from Kolkata to Samastipur to attend an AIDWA conference. Her bag containing a mobile phone, cash and identity cards was stolen, resulting in an estimated loss of about ₹40,000, she said.
A complaint has been lodged with the Dalsinghsarai railway police. An investigation is under way.
