HYDERABAD

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) C. Suvarna lauded Forest Divisional Officer (FDO) M. Ram Mohan for his efforts in writing articles and a book on environment, forests, and wildlife in Telugu. The book, “Pramadam lo Paryavaranam” (Environment in peril), was launched at the 38th Hyderabad Book Fair at NTR stadium on Saturday.

Ms. Suvarna stressed the need for more such writings on biodiversity, while P. Mallikarjuna Rao, Advisor to Andhra Pradesh government on Forest Development, hoped the book would raise environmental awareness.

Mr. Ram Mohan’s book contains 60 articles published in a vernacular newspaper, covering pressing environmental topics. He observed that his concern for the protection of environment prompted him to write the articles and thanked Yadlapalli Venkateswara Rao of the Rythu Nestham publications for publishing it.
