Fed up with repeated love proposals from a woman, the Ramamurthy Nagar police inspector has registered a complaint against her at the same station.
According to the FIR, Inspector Sathish G.J. stated that the accused, Sanjana alias Vanaja, repeatedly contacted him on his official number through WhatsApp calls, phone calls, and messages between October 30 and December 12, 2025. She allegedly kept proposing to him and declaring her love.
“When I did not respond, she claimed to be a Congress worker and attempted to entice me by saying she could use her influence with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Home Minister. She even sent photographs with these leaders, as well as with Lakshmi Hebbalkar and Motamma,” the officer noted in the complaint.
Following this, the inspector said he received calls from the offices of the Home Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister asking why he was not taking complaints from a woman named Sanjana. He informed them that she had not filed any complaint.
On November 11, the woman allegedly went to the police station and handed over a packet to the officer. On checking, it was found to contain several tablets usually prescribed for anxiety and two letters.
According to the FIR, in one of the letters, the woman threatened to take her own life as he had not accepted her love and warned that she would blame him for her death. She professed her love in another letter and claimed to have written it in her blood.
After this incident, the inspector took up a complaint and deputed his officers to investigate the matter and educate the woman. However, she allegedly did not cooperate with the inquiry. Further investigation revealed that she had engaged in similar acts with other police officers in the past as well.
Subsequently, on December 12, she allegedly went to the police station, created a ruckus, and threatened the inspector. Fed up with her actions, the officer filed a complaint.
An FIR has been registered at the Ramamurthy Nagar police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, dealing with assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty, criminal intimidation, and obstruction of a public servant in the discharge of public functions.
