In a significant boost to biomedical innovation in Andhra Pradesh, Ipseity Diagnostics and Research, a U.S.-based molecular diagnostics company, has entered into a scientific collaboration with Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research. The partnership aims to bring transcriptomics, low-cost PCR technologies, and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) to the State, marking a major step toward strengthening advanced molecular research capabilities.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged in the presence of Chairman Lavu Rathaiah, Vice-Chancellor P. Nagabhushan, and Advisor M. Malakondaiah, at the University campus here on Friday (December 12, 2025). Representing Ipseity Diagnostics, CEO Dr. Sandeep Nadendla and CMO Dr. Kalyan Chakravarthy K. signed the agreement with Prof. P.M.V. Rao and Prof. Vijaya Ramu Dirisala of Vignan’s Foundation.

According to the institutions, the collaboration is expected to accelerate efforts to bring molecular science “from bench to bedside,” offering new diagnostic solutions for patients suffering from sepsis, drug-resistant and uncontrolled infections, and other critical illnesses. The research initiative is also aimed at developing indigenous, affordable technologies tailored to the needs of the Indian healthcare system.

Dr. Kalyan Chakravarthy said the partnership positions Andhra Pradesh as an emerging hub for high-end biomedical research and could benefit millions of patients through faster, more accurate, and cost-effective diagnostic tools.
