Researchers chosen for Dr. Hisham Endowment Award 2025

The Professor Dr. Hisham Endowment Award 2025, instituted by the Kerala Academy of Sciences, will be jointly awarded to B.L. Abhirami, research scholar, Agro and Food Processing Technology Division, CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, and K.P. Smija, research scholar, Centre for Advanced Studies in Botany, University of Madras, Chennai.

The award, carrying a gold medal, citation, and cash prize, will be presented at a ceremony at Fatima Mata National College, Kollam, on December 15. Kajal Chakraborty, Director, ICAR–National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow, will distribute the awards and deliver the endowment oration.

The event will also feature a national seminar on ‘Advances and innovations in phytochemistry – therapeutic translation.’ V. Arunachalam, Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, Palode, will inaugurate the seminar.
