Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy on Friday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Global Summit scheduled to be held at Future City in Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district on December 8 and 9.

The DGP held discussions with Additional DGPs Mahesh Bhagwat and D.S. Chauhan, Fire DG Vikram Singh Mann, TG IIC MD Shashank and IG Ramesh Reddy, on security and logistical arrangements.

Foreign delegates will attend the event on the first two days, while the general public can visit in the following four days.

“A three-tier security system will be in place. More than a 1,000 CCTV cameras are being installed around the venue and will be linked to the central police control room,” he said, adding that all arrangements are expected to be completed by Saturday evening.

He instructed officials to work in coordination and avoid any lapses in security, noting that the summit requires stringent security. Facilities such as barracks, mess arrangements, kitchens and toilets, were also reviewed.

Over a 1,000 traffic police personnel will be deployed, along with marshals to assist in diversions, barricades and parking. There will be strong police presence along the designated routes to prevent congestion, and road diversions will be in place for two days.
