Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana government would develop Warangal on the lines of Hyderabad, with an Outer Ring Road (ORR), underground drainage system, and an airport.

“All three projects will commence by March 31,” he declared while addressing a public meeting in Narsampet of Warangal district on Friday, after launching several development projects worth ₹532.24 crore.

Mr. Reddy asked the local leaders not to spend money in elections and elect only Sarpanches who can work with Ministers and MLAs indicating that the electing Congress supported candidates will help in expeditious development.

The CM also asked the cadre to avoid factionalism in villages since Sarpanch elections tend to create differences unnecessarily. “Work to win people’s hearts,” he said calling for clean elections rather than money-induced polls.

Urging people to take education seriously, the Chief Minister said, “Education alone can transform lives,” assuring that the government will provide all facilities for children’s education.

Mr. Reddy also said that 60,000 government jobs were filled in the first year of his administration, and notifications for another 40,000 jobs would be issued soon. He urged unemployed youth to pursue studies diligently to secure government jobs. “The previous BRS government wanted people to pursue their traditional works but the Congress wants people to study,” he said.

Recalling the previous administration’s warnings that farmers would “hang themselves” if they cultivated paddy, Mr. Reddy said that his government was providing ₹500 bonus.

He reiterated that the Congress government is supplying free electricity to farmers and had disbursed ₹9,000 crore in nine days under Rythu Bharosa. About ₹20,000 crore in farm loans had been waived for 25.35 lakh farmers, calling it an unprecedented achievement.

Mr. Reddy criticised the past government for linking ration cards to people’s assets. “In contrast, our government is issuing new ration cards and supplying fine rice to 3.1 crore beneficiaries despite an annual burden of ₹13,000 crore.”

He recalled that during the Congress rule between 2004 and 2014, 25 lakh Indiramma houses were built. Now, the government is constructing 3,500 Indiramma houses in every constituency with an outlay of ₹22,500 crore.
