Tamil Nadu woman killed in bus accident in Karnataka; four injured rushed to Madanapalle hospital

A woman was killed and eleven passengers were injured after a private travels bus overturned near Manchinilla Kote village near Kolar in Karnataka, 28 km from Madanapalle, in the early hours of Tuesday (December 2, 2025).

According to the police, the bus, which was enroute to Bengaluru from Kadapa, hit the median around 4 a.m., and overturned. Anita (50) of Krishnagiri town in Tamil Nadu was killed on the spot with a head injury. Of the injured passengers, four of them in serious condition were admitted to the Madanapalle Government District Hospital.

Police personnel from Karnataka who brought the injured to Madanapalle said the driver may have lost control of the vehicle after he fell asleep. The body of the deceased woman was shifted to the Government Hospital in Kolar for autopsy. The Srinivaspura police in Kolar district registered a case and took up further probe.
