The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, in association with the Malenadu Shivamogga Swimming Association, will be organising a non-medalist swim meet at Shivamogga Sports Complex in the Gopala Gowda Extension here on November 30.
Children up to the age of 14 can participate in the competition.
Assistant Director of the department, Rekhya Naik on Tuesday informed the media that those who had won medals in individual events at State, zonal, national, or international events are not allowed to take part in the meet.
The competitions will be held in eight groups, divided on the basis of age. The events include butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and kickboard, besides relay events. Each participant can participate in a maximum of three events.
Those interested in taking part in the meet can register their names before November 27.
