The apex committee of the Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) on Wednesday announced the revised coffee procurement price for the financial year 2025-26, across all varieties at its meeting on Wednesday.

This year the procurement price has been increased for different varieties. The procurement price, for Arabic parchment has been increased to ₹450 from ₹400 a kilo, Arabica cherry to ₹270 from ₹250 a kilo, and Robusta cherry to ₹170 from ₹160 a kilo.

GCC Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director Kalpana Kumari said that the revised prices were aimed at benefitting tribal coffee farmers. She directed the GCC staff to educate the tribal farmers about the new rates. Additionally, she appealed to farmers not to sell their produce to middlemen at prices below those fixed by the GCC.

Ms. Kalpana assured that the payments for the coffee procured from farmers would be directly credited into their bank accounts. She said that farmers can lodge complaints pertaining to coffee procurement on mobile no. 7013070990.

Tribal Welfare Director S. Bhargavi, ITDA PO Tirumani Sri Pooja, Coffee Board of India, Bengaluru, Director Pradeep Babu, General Manager (Coffee, GCC) MVVS Uma Devi and Senior Manager (Coffee) also participated in the meeting.
