Training his guns on ‘urban naxals’ yet again, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay has accused urban naxals of turning innocent Dalits and tribals into naxalites by provoking them and becoming the reason for their deaths in the forests.

‘While naxalites are dying in the forests, the urban naxals are enjoying positions of power in Telangana, Mr Sanjay alleged while speaking to the media in Huzurabad town on Wednesday. He was in Huzurabad to participate in the Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency level meeting of BJP’s key functionaries. He said, “Why these urban naxals who repeatedly claim that their ideology is to fight against anti-people policies of the government are continuing in government-nominated and commission posts in the State?”.

“Why are they not launching any movements over the failure of the ruling Congress party to fulfil its promises?” he asked.

Mr Sanjay reiterated that Maoism will be completely eliminated by next March.

“I request all Naxalites to surrender and don’t be deceived by the words of urban naxals. The Central and State governments are providing full support to surrendered Naxalites to help them live a happy life,” the Union Minister added.

Anyone who justifies the guns of naxalites is also a criminal, he said in reply to a question.

Later, addressing the party workers’ meeting, Mr Sanjay alleged that the Congress government was planning to hold the panchayat elections only to secure central funds. The Congress government has not given a single paisa to any village panchayat in the last two years, he said. “If the Congress wins the sarpanch elections tomorrow, from where will it brings funds?” he asked. Voting for BJP is the only way to ensure real development of villages, he said.

He further added that he would take the slogan of “Hidutva” to every doorstep and bring “Rama Rajya” to Telangana.
