In a swift and coordinated effort, BMRCL’s security and operations team successfully traced and returned a misplaced bag to its rightful owner, following a mix-up at Indiranagar Metro Station on November 13. The incident occurred at 8.46 a.m. when a passenger accidentally picked up another commuter’s black bag, mistaking it for his own, as both looked identical.

The second passenger realised the mix-up moments later and alerted security, stating that the bag contained important court documents, Aadhaar cards, and cash. Metro officials immediately activated surveillance, tracked the passenger’s travel pattern, and shared his photograph with all security staff.

A day later, the first passenger returned to a metro station, where he was identified and admitted that he mistakenly took a different bag. The bag and its contents were returned intact, and both parties resolved the matter amicably.
