Kerala local body polls: LDF announces Palakkad district panchayat candidates

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) announced its candidates for the Palakkad district panchayat here on Thursday. In the 31-division district panchayat, CPI(M) will contest in 22 seats, CPI five seats, Janata Dal (S) two seats, and NCP and Kerala Congress (M) one seat each, said CPI(M) district secretary E.N. Suresh Babu.

The following are the candidates: Sudarshan Master (Alanallur), Priya Vijayakumar (Thenkara), V.M. Latheef (Attappady), Prameela C. Rajagopal (Kadambazhipuram), P.R. Sobhana (Kongad), Shahana Teacher (Parali), Sobhana (Puthuppariyaram), S.B. Raju (Malampuzha), K. Ajeesh (Puthussery), Sindhu (Kozhipara), T. Mahesh (Meenakshipuram), M.V. Dhanya (Polpully), M. Saleem (Koduvayur), K.N. Mohanan (Nenmara), N. Saritha (Kollengode), T.M. Sasi (Pallassana), R. Karthik (Kizhakkanchery), Ratnakumari Suresh (Tharoor), P.K. Shibi Krishna (Alathur), R. Abhilash (Kuzhalmannam), R. Latha (Kottayi), Y.N. Sheeja (Ambalappara), A. Sindhumol (Vaniyamkulam), P. Sathidevi (Vadanamkurissi), Sudheesh Kumar (Chalissery), P.N. Mohanan (Kappur), Rafeesa Firoz (Thiruvegappura), T.P. Ahamed (Muthuthala), Mohammed Shaduli (Chalavara), and A.K. Sheeladevi (Sreekrishnapuram).

Mr. Babu expressed confidence of the LDF sweeping Palakkad in view of the development work done by the outgoing district panchayat council.
