The Kerala High Court has quashed a case in which actor Lakshmi Menon had been charged with abduction and assault of an IT employee in Kochi on the night of August 24, 2025.

This followed a submission made by the parties before the court that the disputes among them had been settled.

The court had in October granted anticipatory bail to Ms. Menon and three others who had been arraigned as accused in the case that was registered by the Ernakulam North police. The assaulted IT employee had filed an affidavit saying that he had no objection in granting anticipatory bail to the actor.

The case was registered on August 25 on a complaint filed by the youth from Aluva that he was reportedly abducted and assaulted by the actor and others following a brawl at a bar in the city on August 24.
