Doctors at KIMS Saveera Hospital successfully treated a three-year-old boy suffering from pneumonia-developed multiple complications that put his life in danger. The team of doctors at the hospital saved the boy’s life after performing a series of critical medical procedures.

Giving details about the case, Consultant Pediatrician Dr. A. Mahesh and the team of doctors explained, “The boy from Tadipatri was initially diagnosed with pneumonia and was being treated locally. As his condition worsened, he was brought to KIMS Saveera. Along with pneumonia, there was a collection of pus around his left lung, Dr Mahesh said.

The doctors immediately performed a Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) to remove the pus. Subsequently, another necessary procedure was carried out to improve the functioning of his lungs and heart, which ultimately saved his life.

Meanwhile, hospital CEO Srinivas Prasad and COO Siddha Reddy said that KIMS Saveera Hospital was equipped with NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) facilities of international standards to effectively handle critical health issues in newborns and children.
