Governor R.N. Ravi on Saturday extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Tamil Nadu Formation Day.

In a post on X, Raj Bhavan quoted Mr. Ravi as saying that Tamil Nadu, with its profound spiritual, cultural, and literary heritage, stands as a luminous centre of wisdom and creativity. From the teachings of great saints, sages, and poets to the valour of rulers and reformers, the land has nurtured compassion, courage and the ceaseless quest for knowledge that form the essence of Bharat’s civilisational spirit and resonate far beyond borders, he said.

“With indomitable courage, unspeakable sufferings, and supreme sacrifice, our great freedom fighters forged our nation’s independence and laid the enduring foundation of a vibrant, democratic, and progressive nation. Today, our farmers, fishers, artisans, weavers, and Vishwakarma uphold its timeless traditions through skill and perseverance, while our youth, women entrepreneurs, and innovators carry forward its march into a new era of progress. Each of them reflects the living energy of Tamil society and its enduring contribution to the unity and strength of Bharat as a Rashtra,” he said.

“On this occasion, let us rededicate ourselves to the inclusive and sustainable development of Tamil Nadu and the collective vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047,” he added.
