A ‘Cantonment Vani’ programme was held in the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) area on Wednesday to address the problems faced by local residents.

The initiative drew a large number of residents across all wards of the constituency, who brought their grievances directly to MLA Sriganesh Narayanan and officials. Citizens also availed themselves of various welfare schemes, submitting applications for Indiramma houses, ration cards, free electricity up to 200 units and subsidised gas cylinders. Petitions were submitted on various issues including drinking water supply, internal roads, street lighting and sanitation.

The programme included officials from several departments such as Revenue, Civil Supply, Electricity, Health, Police and Forest, alongside representatives from the SCB.

Speaking at the event, the MLA highlighted the significance of the joint effort between State government and SCB officials, describing it as a positive step towards understanding and resolving local issues efficiently.
