The Regional Cancer Centre organised a commemorative lecture on the death anniversary of its founder-director M. Krishnan Nair here on Wednesday.

Ravi Kannan, oncologist and Director of Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Assam, and also a Magsaysay award winner, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Dr. Kannan, who delivered the M. Krishnan Nair commemorative lecture remembered the invaluable contributions made by Dr. Nair to the cancer treatment and research scenario in the State. He also spoke about progress and the milestones achieved by the nation in cancer treatment.

Dr. Kannan was honoured with a citation and memento in recognition of his outstanding services in providing affordable and quality cancer care to disadvantaged sections of society.

Rajan Khobraghade, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) and Rejnish Kumar, Director of the RCC, were present on the occasion.
