Telugu Desam Party MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra on Saturday (October 25) said that the State government released ₹9.75 lakh compensation to four labourers who had suffered serious injuries due to blast of firecracker parcels in ANL parcel counter of Parvatipuram on October 19, 2025. The money would be distributed to victims — Ravi, Reddi Ramesh, K. Ramesh and B. Sundara Rao — for their treatment in corporate hospitals.

According to a press release from his office, the MLA had taken the issue to the notice of Minister for Transport Mandapalli Ram Prasad Reddy and APSRTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao saying that that the incident had taken place due to the negligence of ANL services which allowed the explosive nature parcel without verification of the goods being transported in APSRTC vehicles. Mr. Vijaya Chandra met both Mr. Ram Prasad Reddy and Mr. Tirumala Rao in Vijayawada and requested for the early payment and it was done within a week for continuation of quality treatment in the respective hospitals.
