Nine parks in Kakinada up for adoption to be given for adoption for industrial managements, NGOs for development in Kakinada Smart City

Kakinada Municipal Corporation Special Officer and Kakinada District Collector S. Shan Mohan on Tuesday announced that nine major parks, including Gandhi Park and Vivenkananda Park, would be opened for adoption by NGOs and Industrial establishments. The initiative aims to better infrastructure facilities by the adopted agency under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The other parks identified for adoption are — Boat Club Park, Annaam Ghati Park, Santha Cheruvu Park, Janmabhumi Park, Suresh Nagar Park, Canal Branch Park, Amaravati Parks.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Mr. Shan Mohan said that the listed nine parks would be allotted to agencies within 15 days of submitting their development proposal, receiving approval. 

On the pendency of tax on vacant land in the Kakinada Smart City, Mr. Shan Mohan warned of including the respective land in the list of government land if the land owners fail to pay the tax by November 25.
