The Taliparamba police have registered a case against two persons on charge of visa fraud and extortion of ₹4.33 lakh from a youth from Pattuvam.
The accused have been identified as Pradeesh Bharathan of Charpa, Thrissur, and Hebin Sajan of Wayanad. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by V.G. Jibin, a native of Velamparakkal, Mangalassery, Pattuvam.
According to the complaint, Bharathan promised Jibin a job in Spain and reportedly collected ₹4.33 lakh, claiming it was for visa processing.
However, Jibin was reportedly imprisoned in Spain after the authorities found that the visa was fake. The Taliparamba police have launched an investigation into the alleged visa fraud.
