66% women in IIM-Kozhikode PGP cohort

The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has recorded 66% women enrolment in its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP), the highest in its history.

A total of 329 of the 499 students in the PGP at the IIM-K for the 2026-28 cohort are women, according to a press release issued on Friday (July 3, 2026).

At the inauguration ceremony, 599 students were formally inducted into the institute’s three full-time MBA programmes, while 99 scholars joined its doctoral programmes in management. Raghu Polisetty, senior managing director, Accenture, was the chief guest. Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-K, presided over the function.

The flagship PGP has admitted 57% non-engineering graduates. Overall, 59% of students across the three full-time MBA programmes come from non-engineering backgrounds.

The intake also includes the inaugural batch of the Doctoral Programme in Management (Teaching Track), the institute’s newest doctoral programme for management education and research.
