Hyderabad records one of the highest breast cancer rates in the country at 54 cases per one lakh women, compared to the national average of 26.6. To create awareness regarding this, the Star Cancer Centre brought together 1,000 cyclists for a cyclothon on Sunday. The event focused on personalised care and strength of community action. Addressing participants, Sainath Bhethanabhotla, senior consultant and head of Medical Oncology, stressed the importance of proactive screening. “Hyderabad carries a concerning tag due to high breast cancer incidence.
