Three members of a family, who sustained severe burn injuries in a kitchen fire at their residence in Kanakapura town near Bengaluru on January 26, succumbed to their injuries on February 1.

The deceased have been identified as Siddaraju (55), Chandramma (50), and their son Prashanth (22).

The incident occurred on January 26 at their house in Amaranarayan block of Kanakapura. According to the police, a fire broke out in the kitchen due to an accidental gas stove leak while food was being prepared.

The trio sustained burn injuries and were rushed to Victoria hospital in Bengaluru where they were undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit for the past few days.

Despite sustained medical efforts, all three victims succumbed to their injuries as the treatment failed to yield results.
