Fifteen people sustained injuries after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus rammed into a paddy-laden tractor from the rear on the Renigunta Bridge in Thimmapur mandal of Karimnagar early on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).

The incident comes a day after 19 people were killed and over 14 injured in a collision between an RTC bus and a tipper lorry in Chevella.

According to Karimnagar Police Commissioner, Gaush Alam, the accident was reported between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Metpally, while the tractor was engaged in transporting paddy locally for the harvest season. Due to the impact of the collision, around 15 passengers, including the driver, sustained minor injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment and were later discharged.

“We are yet to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. The tyre marks on the road indicate sudden braking by the bus driver. However, an investigation is underway to determine the precise cause,” Mr. Alam said.
