The 13th edition of the Sargaalaya International Arts and Crafts Festival will begin at Sargaalaya Kerala Arts and Crafts Village at Iringal near Vadakara on December 23. The 20-day festival will feature craft products from 15 countries, including Belarus, Egypt, Iran, Kazakistan, Uganda, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka, besides most of the Indian states.

Sargaalaya senior general manager T.K. Rajesh told The Hindu that there would be over 100 stalls featuring authentic handicraft products, some of them by national award and Shilpaguru award winning artisans.

“Flower show, handloom fashion show contest, tourism talk show, and tourism expo are the novelties of the festival this season,” he said. The tourism talk show will be held on January 3, while the tourism expo, featuring industry stakeholders, will be held from January 7 to 12.

Minister for Tourism P.A. Mohamed Riyas will inaugurate the festival on December 25 at 6 p.m. The festival will conclude on January 11.
